Acceptable Use Policy
Content and conduct rules for Ryvo, including prohibited categories, moderation, enforcement and appeals.
Last updated: 2026-10-23
Introduction and Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the content and conduct rules for using Ryvo, an AI short-form video generation studio available at https://ryvo.app. It forms part of our Terms of Service (https://ryvo.app/terms-of-service) and applies to every account holder, visitor and anyone who submits a prompt, reference material or generation request.
You are responsible for everything you submit to the Service and everything you generate with it. If you use Ryvo on behalf of a company or client, you are responsible for ensuring that they also comply with this AUP.
Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use Ryvo. The Service is not designed for, directed at or available to anyone under 18. We prohibit any content that sexualizes or otherwise endangers minors, and we apply the enhanced measures described in the child-unsafe content section above.
Prohibited Content Categories
You must not use Ryvo to create, upload, request, distribute or facilitate any of the following categories of content.
Pornography and NSFW content
Sexually explicit material, pornography, sexualized imagery, nudity created or altered for sexual purposes, and any content intended to arouse or gratify sexually. This includes generated nudity and any attempt to use the Service for sexual content involving real people.
Violence and gore
Graphic or gratuitous violence, gore, mutilation, torture, animal cruelty, instructions or celebrations of violent harm, and content that encourages self-harm or suicide.
Hate speech
Content that promotes, incites or justifies hatred, discrimination, hostility or violence against people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or any similar protected characteristic. Harassment, threats and dehumanizing content are also prohibited.
Child-unsafe content
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), any sexualization of minors, content that endangers or exploits minors, and any attempt to generate, request or depict minors in a sexual, violent or abusive context. We report CSAM to the relevant authorities as required by law.
Deepfakes and impersonation of real people
Content that depicts a real, identifiable person in a false or misleading way, or that impersonates a real person, without their informed consent. This includes face swaps, nudification, intimate compositing, fabricated statements or actions attributed to real people, fake endorsements, and any attempt to pass AI-generated content off as authentic footage of a real person. Ryvo has no face-swap, nudify or celebrity-impersonation features, and using the Service for these purposes is prohibited.
Copyright and trademark infringement
Content that infringes copyright, trademark, trade dress, publicity, privacy or other rights of third parties, including reproducing protected footage, music, characters, logos or artwork without permission or a valid legal exception. You may only use reference material that you own or are permitted to use.
Zero-Tolerance Violations
The following violations are treated as zero tolerance. They result in immediate removal, account termination where appropriate, and referral to law enforcement when required:
- child sexual abuse material or any content sexualizing minors;
- terrorist content, including recruitment, propaganda, instructions for attacks or praise of terrorist acts;
- instructions for the manufacture or use of weapons of mass destruction, including chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear weapons;
- incitement to genocide, mass violence or systematic atrocities;
- deepfakes of real people, including face swaps, nudification, intimate compositing and fabricated statements or actions, without consent; and
- any content that violates the local laws applicable to you or to Ryvo.
Where a violation is reported, we may preserve the relevant records and content for a limited period for safety, legal and law enforcement purposes.
Generally Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- use the Service for illegal activity, fraud, scams or deceptive practices;
- share, upload or generate other people's private information without consent, including addresses, identity documents, financial data or intimate images;
- defame, harass, stalk, threaten or intimidate any person;
- misrepresent your identity, age or affiliation;
- attempt to bypass, disable or weaken safety filters, prompt screening or content moderation;
- use the Service to build training data or a competing model, or to benchmark or reverse engineer the underlying model;
- access the Service through automated means other than our documented API, scrape it, or resell or sublicense access without our written permission;
- share accounts, circumvent credits or payment, or exploit bugs, pricing errors or promotions;
- distribute malware or attempt to compromise the Service, its infrastructure or other users; or
- use the Service in a way that violates the rights of any third party, including providers of the models and platforms that support it.
Source of Uploaded Material
You may upload only photos, videos, voice recordings and other material that you own, that you created, or that you have explicit permission to use. By uploading material, you confirm at upload that:
- you hold all rights and permissions needed to use the material for AI video generation;
- the material does not contain the likeness, voice or personal data of any person who has not consented to its use;
- the material is not private, confidential or paid content that you have no right to copy; and
- your use of the material through Ryvo does not infringe any third party's rights.
Permission to use material for one purpose never authorizes deepfakes or impersonation. Consent from a person to appear in your video does not permit you to create sexual, defamatory or misleading depictions of them. If you cannot confirm these statements, do not upload the material.
Moderation and Detection
We apply several layers of moderation to reduce the risk of prohibited content:
- Pre-generation prompt screening. Prompts and requests are screened by Waffo Prompt Sift, a moderation service provided by our payment and compliance partner Waffo Pancake, before a generation task is submitted. Requests that indicate prohibited content are blocked.
- Provider content filtering. Generation is performed through EvoLink.AI using the ByteDance Seedance 2.5 model. Outputs remain subject to the content filters applied by EvoLink and the model provider, which may block, refuse or alter a generation.
- Human review. Reports from users and rights holders are reviewed by our team. Where a report indicates an urgent safety risk, we prioritize review.
Moderation is not perfect, and automated filters may produce false positives and false negatives. You must not attempt to evade or defeat these measures.
Severity Levels
We classify violations by severity and tailor our response accordingly:
- Critical: CSAM, terrorism, weapons of mass destruction instructions, genocide incitement, or any imminent risk of serious harm. Immediate removal, immediate permanent ban and law enforcement referral where required.
- Severe: non-consensual deepfakes, violent or hateful content, and repeated or deliberate serious violations. Immediate removal, suspension or termination, and possible law enforcement referral.
- Moderate: prohibited NSFW content, copyright or trademark infringement, or other policy violations that are not critical. Removal, warning and, for repeat violations, suspension.
- Minor: first-time technical or inadvertent violations such as unclear prompts or accidental uploads. Warning, guidance and, where appropriate, removal of the affected content.
We may combine these responses with feature restrictions or reduced generation limits while an issue is reviewed.
Reporting Violations
If you believe content on Ryvo violates this AUP, report it to support@ryvo.app with the subject line "Content report". Include the relevant account or video URL, a description of the violation, and any supporting evidence. Where available, use the in-product report links next to content.
We acknowledge reports within 2 business days. Critical child-safety and imminent-harm reports are prioritized and reviewed as soon as possible. We normally make an enforcement decision within 10 business days of receiving a complete report, and we will tell you when we have done so.
Do not use the report channel for support questions or billing issues; those are handled under the Terms of Service and Refund Policy.
Enforcement Actions
When we determine that a violation has occurred, we may take any of the following actions, depending on severity and history:
- a warning and a request to correct the content;
- removal or disabling of content, prompts or reference material;
- restrictions on features, such as limits on certain modes, uploads or generations;
- suspension of the account for a defined period;
- permanent ban from the Service; and
- referral to law enforcement or other competent authorities.
We may remove content immediately where we are legally required to do so or where there is a risk of serious harm. Unused credits are not refunded where an account is terminated for a violation of this AUP.
Appeals
You may appeal an enforcement decision by emailing support@ryvo.app within 30 days of the decision, using the subject line "Appeal". Include your account email, the content or action concerned, and your reasons. Your appeal will be reviewed by an independent reviewer who was not involved in the original decision. We aim to decide appeals within 10 business days. During an appeal, the enforcement action may remain in place, and the decision after appeal is final except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Policy Updates
We may update this AUP to reflect changes in the Service, the law, model provider requirements or our moderation practices. We will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date. Where a change materially affects your use of the Service, we will provide reasonable notice by email or in the Service. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated AUP.
